About UsThe Business Forum is a diverse, dynamic mixture of women professionals who are dedicated to expanding their network of meaningful connections and making a difference in others’ lives. Through our events, special programs, and philanthropic work, we’re committed to supporting and strengthening women in our community. Launched in 1988, TBF began as an idea by Anne Ross and Roz Anderson of Foley & Lardner, with the goal of creating a supportive network for women working in the business, government, education and non-profit sectors, and give women a way to contribute their talent and financial resources to the community. TBF was the first women’s organization allowed to meet at The Madison Club (which, at the time, was limited to only men). While TBF has maintained its foundational mission of being a collaborative, supportive community for professional women, the organization has evolved to also provide opportunities to lift up all women. Our monthly luncheons offer time to network and feature subject-matter experts on everything from professional development, to personal wellness and everything in between. TBF is a proud host of the annual ATHENA and ATHENA Young Professional Award Celebrations honoring and recognizing local leaders. These events all help to support our scholarship program which has provided more than $472,000 in scholarships to women in Dane County. By becoming a member of The Business Forum, you are joining an engaging and well-connected group of women professionals who are committed to paying it forward by empowering women and celebrating each other’s’ achievements. |
