ATHENA

Plans and hosts TBF's premier fundraising event to showcase the presentation of the ATHENA® Award. This committee also oversees the processes for nominating and selecting the ATHENA Award recipient according to the criteria established by the ATHENA Foundation.

The ATHENA Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. at Godfrey & Kahn.

 

 

  

Communications

Develops and implements TBF's marketing plan including distribution of press releases, arranging for media interviews and coverage, and maintaining TBF's social media through Facebook, Linked In and YouTube.


 

 

 

  

Community Investment

The Community Investment Committee establishes criteria for awarding scholarships and for selecting the women who will receive them. This committee is also responsible for the selection, planning, implementation and coordination of activities that provide an opportunity for members to interact with each other and the community.

 

 




FUNd Development

This committee puts the FUN back into planning, implementing and coordinating fundraising to benefit TBF's operational funds and The Business Forum Foundation's Scholarship Program. Ensures that all proposed fund-raising activities have Board approval.





 


Membership

Oversees all aspects of TBF's membership eligibility and process including guiding the organization's efforts to identify and attract new members, coordinating member application and renewal and maintaining criteria for membership.

 

 

  


Program

Plans and oversees six luncheons, the annual networking event, a fun fall field trip and the annual Holiday Bazaar.  Responsible for identifying and scheduling speakers, serving as liaison to meeting site, securing event sponsors, providing event details for promotions and coordinating with other committees as needed.

The Program Committee meets more heavily in the fall in order to set annual calendar then as needed.  We attempt to utilize alternative methods of communications including email, social media, Skye and telephone to accommodate committee members schedules.

Special Events

Plans and hosts special fund-raising events, including the ATHENA Young Professional event,  the TBF-EWGA The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Golf Outing. This committee also oversees the nomination and selection process for ATHENA Young Professional.

The Special Events Committee currently meets at the Ganser Company on the second Wednesday of each month at 12:00 p.m.
